Neoalgae was one of the keynote speakers at the “Disruption and Innovation in the Marine and Food Industry” event held at ANFACO-CECOPESCA (Vigo). At this event, the Asturian company, led by its CEO, Fidel Delgado, explained the objectives of the IMPRESS project: INNOVATIVE APPROACHES FOR MARINE AND FRESHWATER-BASED INGREDIENTS TO DEVELOP SUSTAINABLE FOODS AND VALUE CHAINS, as a success story from the Horizon Europe call for proposals.
Neoalgae, more than 10 years of innovation from Asturias
Neoalgae has positioned itself as a biotechnology leader in the cultivation and development of microalgae with a strong environmental commitment. It is a pioneer in the development of microalgae applications and cultivation, and also brings innovative products to market through its various brands and business lines. Its operational headquarters are located in a modern, energy-self-sufficient plant in Gijón, comprising greenhouses for the cultivation of various microalgae species, specialized laboratories, a natural cosmetics manufacturing plant, and a recently opened office building that has increased the plant’s technical capacity. It also has 9 patents, 12 awards, 18 certifications, and nearly 40 R&D projects. It is also certified by the FSSC 22,000 standard, which guarantees the quality of its products.
