Technology

Neoalgae was born under the stimulating challenge of contributing to the health of people and animals through the inexhaustible potential offered by microalgae and their application in areas as diverse as food, nutricosmetics, cosmetics and agriculture.

Facilities

Our specialized personnel carry out the controlled microalgae cultivation process, complying with the highest health and regulatory standards.

We develop our ingredients based on this experience in research and cultivation.

We have multiple technologies that enable the optimal and sustainable production of ingredients, selecting the most suitable process according to the nature of the ingredient and production specifications.

Laboratories

A fundamental part of our production processes is our laboratories. Thanks to them, we scale up strains until reaching the optimal volumes for inoculation in the photobioreactors. Throughout the process, we rigorously control sterility conditions to ensure that the cultures remain monospecific. This way, only the selected species grow in our photobioreactors, allowing us to achieve products of the highest quality.

We also have laboratories dedicated to the development of processes and ingredients, each equipped to optimize research and the production of new solutions.

Sustainability

In Neoalgae we make sure sustainability remains ahead of our minds every day. Through microalgae we ensure a “Blue Biorefinery” working as a circular process. Getting from the Earth and giving back to the Earth has always been our mindset.

How do we promote sustainability in our activities?

  1. No competition with food crops:  Cultivation does not require agricultural land
  2. Microalgae capture 10 times more CO2 than terrestrial plants
  3. Processes are based on Green Chemistry: No solvents or hazardous substances are used or produced
  4. Blue Circular economy: Efficient process (adding value to by-products and side streams)
  5. KM 0 processes: Promoting local sourcing, seasonality and shortened Supply Chains

Certifications

We adhere to the highest quality standards when developing our ingredients. We are certified under the FSSC 22000 food safety standard and by Cosmos, CAAE, and Copae as organic ingredients.
